I was quite surprised to know that Jesse Costello-Good aka JCG referred to my post on setting up Tibco GI to use jQuery. I have to admit that references about Tibco GI is very minimal. Most of the links in Google refer to the book authored by Anil Gurnani, "Web Development with TIBCO General Interface."
Jesse Costello-Good is the designer of Tibco General Interface.

Setup Tibco General Interface to use jQuery
It is very simple and easy to integrate Tibco GI to use jQuery.
First, create a project in General Interface. Dereference the components folder and logic.js in js folder. Copy jQuery JavaScript file to the js folder. Set it to autoload (I think this is not required).
Close the project. Copy the project folder to addins folder. You can put it in the workspace folder at/addins. If you want everyone to be able to access it, you can put it in the JSX/addins folder.
Open the config.xml file and rewrite the config.xml. You don't need most of the information from the project config.xml.
This is what I put for my config.xml

If you want to use the addins, set it to load at Project>Project Settings>Add-Ins and choose jQuery.
Now you're set to use jQuery in your Tibco GI project.

My Unreasonable Hatred For Manohara

How ridiculous can this be...? This is an excerpt from today's article from Kompas.com.
Prabowo agreed to run as Megawati's Vice President with one condition. If Megawati wins the Indonesia presidential election, Prabowo demands for greater authority than Megawati. Have you ever seen a country where a vice president has greater authority than the president? This is quite absurd.

When is this gonna end?
This is a quote from an article in detik.com: http://www.detiknews.com/read/2009/05/08/094213/1128167/10/gembosi-kpk-diduga-dpr-takut-kasus-lamanya-diungkit-lagi
A few DPR Commission III members asked KPK to stop its work until KPK leaders count is back to 5 people again.
But why? Does it make any difference? One KPK head got into trouble does not mean that the work of the whole institution has to be freezed? The rest can still move on. Why must KPK stop working? It just doesn't make sense. I'm disgusted.

Running Oracle WebLogic 10.3 from Eclipse
I just installed Oracle WebLogic 10.3 on my laptop. Install was fine and my Ganymede has been installed with Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse plugin. However, I stumbled upon 1 slight problem. I have been having a bit of problem starting the server from Eclipse. It was always stalled at around 83% and then failed to start according to Eclipse due to time out. For some reason the server is already started. Due to the failure in Eclipse, the status of the server is shown as Stopped.
At last I noticed that there is a warning during startup.
The error code BEA-002611 and the message: Hostname "localhost", maps to multiple IP addresses: 10.326.111.185, 140.148.148.233, 127.0.0.1
After continuing with some more search, I finally understand what caused the problem to happen.I need to set the listen-address to one IP address to avoid the confusion in multiple mapping. Voila! Now I can start and stop the server from Eclipse without any problem.
You should be able to find config.xml in the config folder of the specific domain folder.

A Citizen Embarrassment
I declare that I'm currently embarrassed to be a proud citizen of Indonesia. How often do you watch the news on the TV lately? I'm disgusted by the greed of power shown by our local politicians.

Where's your coding happy place?
I believe everyone has their own coding happy place. My boss is not someone who likes to code in the office. He can produce much better work camping at Starbucks equipped with a free Wi-Fi Hotspot. And mine is definitely not this open environment office. How much I missed my cubicle in the old office. And yes I prefer to work at Starbucks myself. Wherever you code, it will be the same... whether you finish it on time... or you don't finish it.
Eric Spiegel has a great article about Coding Happy Place.

Chicken a la Carte
Why waste your money on extra food but then not finish it? There are still tons of unfortunate people who are still in hunger.

To Blackberry or Not To Blackberry...
I've always been questioning why are people getting Blackberrys. Especially the youngsters nowadays. Do they really have a lot of important emails to be retrieved and replied urgently?
Well, after looking at Hendro's Blackberry... I kinda understand now what is great about Blackberry, aside from its push e-mail service. BB Messenger is awesome. It's free and you know whether people has read your message or not. That's to ensure that the other party has received and read the message. Business wise, it's quite an important feature to ensure an important message has reached the desired recipient.
Other than the feature, it saves cost. 100 messages is about Rp. 25.000,-. In a month, especially when you are still young, you'll probably spend most of your money on sms. 50 messages a day can be quickly achieved. In 30 days, you'll spend about 1500 messages which will cost you about Rp. 300.000,-. That's if you're on a postpaid plan. Nowadays, you can get BB service as low as Rp. 150.000 / month. Ok. Not everyone has a BB. True... but you can always contact people through Yahoo! Messenger or MSN Messenger through BB. And best of all, to be recognized... you'll also have unlimited access to Facebook. So for as low as Rp. 150.000/month, it is such a good deal. It has been proven in corporates that BB Messenger cuts communication cost by a lot.
Now, it's my time to decide whether I should get that Javelin... as the rest of the office is starting to utilize BB...
